Overseer AutoCode

AutoCode number plate recognition module is designed for the following video surveillance systems: XProtect Basis+, XProtect Professional, XProtect Enterprise, and XProtect Corporate (Milestone Systems, Denmark).

Module is available in two versions:

AutoCode – Speed of video stream processing is 25 fps

AutoCode Lite - Speed of video stream processing is 6 fps

Unlike most of the number plate recognition modules, AutoCode works great when camera is set laterally:

• Angle of vertical incline of the camera: up to 40°;
• Angle of horizontal incline: up to 30°;
• Number plate incline angle relatively to the roadway: up to 10°.

Features:

• Recognition of several number plates in the camera’s view in case if the snapshot recognition is possible;
• Choosing a frame with the highest recognition coefficient to be saved in the database (if the number plate was recognized several times);
• Using different number patterns (e.g. patterns of different countries);
• Adding new number patterns;
• Detection of vehicle moving direction;
• Defining relative speed of a vehicle (calculated depending on the camera’s technical features);
• Connecting movement detectors to reduce the calculation needs to identify the number plate;
• Setting separate detection areas;
• Setting the minimum and maximum expected number dimensions.

Technical characteristics:

• Maximum car speed - 150 km/h (camera resolution - 500 TVL);
• Recognition of up to 10 number plates in the frame simultaneously;
• Recognition speed of one number: frame processing time 10-15 ms (not depending on the quantity of number plates in the frame). Each number plate processing takes 5-10 ms.
