IP camera (network camera) is a camera having an embedded server that can broadcast a digitized video stream via Ethernet. Such cameras are notable for their simplicity, installation speed and cost decrease in exploitation in comparison with analog cameras.
It is worth admitting that primary costs for introduction of the video surveillance systems basing on IP devices are generally higher that for classis ones. Though, the further economy on system support and cutting edge technologies used in IP devices ensures the constant increase of their market share.
Anyway, you should not underestimate Overseer View IP: all the features of the parent system Overseer View, excluding alternate video data source, are available also in Overseer View IP. Overseer View IP also requires less resources and for its deployment additional servers are not needed.
