Overseer Auto Code is designed for searching, revealing and recognizing the state transport vehicle numbers. Overseer Auto Code creates the chronological archive of the car numbers that can be additionally viewed and processed by the operator. The archive contains information about recognition time, car number (text field), country, move direction, relative speed, number photo, and the whole shot from which the number was recognized.
Features:
several numbers recognition in the camera’s field of vision in case if the snapshot number recognition is possible;
choosing a shot having the higher recognition coefficient for being saved to the database (if the number was recognized several times);
using different number patterns (e.g. international number patterns);
adding new number patterns;
move direction recognition;
defining the relative speed of the vehicle (calculated depending on the camera’s technical features);
connecting the movement detector to reduce the calculation needs to identify the number;
setting the separate detection areas;
setting the minimal and maximal expected number dimensions.
Overseer Auto Code has the following service functions:
number search and capture in the shot range;
captured numbers visualization;
dynamic showing the selected numbers gallery;
keeping the database of the recognized numbers in connection with the shot from which they were recognized;
recognized numbers archive search and display (date, time, number of persons, camera number, person name).
Technical Features:
maximal car speed at that number recognition can be carried out - 150 km/h (camera resolution - 500 TVL);
recognizing up to 10 registration numbers in the frame simultaneously;
one number recognition speed: frame processing time 10-15ms (non-depending on the numbers' quantity in the frame). Each number processing takes 5-10 ms.
Picture quality requirements:
acceptable slope of the car's number bar ±20°;
illumination in the control area - over 50 lux;
for correct number recognition the symbols' height must be over 10 pixels.
Camera requirements:
Analogue cameras having resolution over 500 TVL and zoom.
System requirements:
Operation system: Windows 2000/XP;
Processor Pentium IV 1,5GHz of higher;
RAM over 512 МB.
To keep an archive, Overseer Auto Code can use different databases as the system has a separate reprogrammable unit to solve these problems. If unknown databases are used, developer must provide a technical description for them.
Overseer Auto Code can use video data stream from the camera (video capture boards, logger etc.) as well as carry out search among the existing video files (e.g. security system archives).
Unit structure allows delivering Overseer Auto Code as a ready solution as well as a separate unit. Due to an interface for interaction with different software products Overseer Auto Code is easy to be integrated into the ready video surveillance systems.
