Video surveillance

One of the main VIT Ltd. activities is the development of video surveillance systems (so-called “ready solutions”), automatic number plate recognition (Overseer Auto Code) and face recognition (Overseer Face Code) units, and video-capture boards.

Overseer AutoCode

Automatic number plate recognition system Overseer Auto Code is designed for searching, revealing and recognizing the state transport vehicle numbers. Overseer Auto Code creates the chronological archive of the car numbers that can be additionally viewed and processed by the operator. The archive contains information about recognition time, car number (text field), country, move direction, relative speed, number photo, and the whole shot from that the number was recognized.

 

Potentialities:

  • several numbers recognition in the camera’s field of vision in case if the snapshot number recognition is possible;
  • using different number patterns (e.g. international number patterns);
  • adding new number patterns;
  • move direction recognition;
  • defining the relative speed of the vehicle (calculated depending on the camera’s technical features);
  • connecting the movement detector to reduce the calculation needs to identify the number;
  • setting the separate detection areas;
  • setting the minimal and maximal expected number dimensions.

  

Overseer Face Code

Overseer Face Code face recognition system is a software complex designed for automatic stream face recognition and saving the information to the database. Intellectual system kernel is based on applying the latest neural network algorithms that provides the high recognition level.

 

Face recognition Overseer Face Code system provides automatic image processing, search, capture, and comparing with the database for its identification. Overseer Face Code implements two functions: face detection function that helps creating a chronological archive of the faces detailed from the general background, and recognition function itself.

 

 Technical features:
(Setting the system technical features is based on the results of testing the recognition algorithm using BioID (Switzerland) and FERET (USA) face databases)

 

  • time of face searching in the frame: < 40 ms;
  • correct face capture coefficient – over 95% (BioID);
  • time of the face identification by comparing with 1000 records database – under 50 ms (FERET);
  • correct identification coefficient - over 95% (FERET);
  • probability of the mistaken access granting (FAR) — 1%;
  • probability of the mistaken access denial (FRR) — 4 %.

 Board development: 

 

The PCI interface video capture board was developed for video information input from surveillance cameras to the computer and further data processing.

The board is series-produced with the combined positive method on material FR-4, in according to the requirements of international standard DIN EN 60249-2.
